The Technical Specialist will be directly responsible for all drug-screening services ordering of supplies maintenance of records and reporting results to employers. This position precisely and accurately performs and reports substance abuse testing using established quality assurance protocols and insures machine accuracy and efficacy by performing routine quality measurements. He/she will also be responsible for the training of all technicians to perform drug screen collections according to AHS standards and the standards of regulatory agencies as well as annual skill validations. Opportunities to improve financial performance are identified and transformed into action. This position assists with the development of the department strategic plan and quality improvement processes. This position will manage the Adena Consortium and insure compliance with the Department of Transportation.  Associate degree in Medical office management, Medical Laboratory Technology or related field, or currently working toward a degree with previous applicable experience.  2-3 years experience in a hospital based technology field.  Previous experience with database management.
