The Surgical Services Systems Coordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation, education, management, support and maintenance Surgical Services Information System in conjunction with the Systems Director and Information Systems. This position assists with fully maximizing the system capabilities to meet the organizational goals of quality patient care, cost management, and operational efficiency coordinates review of specialized reports for Surgical Services Management and assists in the development and implementation of computer training plans for all Surgical Services staff and related Adena Health System users. In collaboration with Information Technology develops and maintains the Customer Defined Screens as necessary to meet the needs of Surgical Services and Adena Health Systems. Strong documentation skills including ability to prepare decision documents are necessary. Critical thinking skills are essential.
Associate/Diploma Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio required.
5-7 years experience, minimum of five years Surgical Services experience preferred. Previous experience in staff supervision and staff education required.
Previous experience with Meditech is required. Apptitude for information systems and information systems thinking is required. Charge entry preferred and Meditech documentation experience required.
Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
