The Pharmacy Supervisor, Operations is responsible for daily, front line supervision of all pharmacy department operations.  This position ensures compliance with all State and Federal laws, Department and Hospital Policies and Procedures, Regulatory and Accreditation Standards and sound pharmaceutical and professional ethics.  Decisions are made independently or in collaboration with others.  This position has access to patient, financial and organizational confidential information, non-controlled and controlled medications and certain hospital funds.  The pharmacy supervisor works with patients in all age groups.  Also responsible for the following areas: process improvement, strategic planning and quality improvement processes, staff development and competencies, hiring, disciplinary processes, completion of staff performance evaluations, assisting with budget preparation and adherence, program development and collaboration with other departments, professionals, vendors, and customers to achieve operational goals.  A strong self-drive along with a consistent display of high ethical and moral standards are essential.  This position may assume responsibility for departmental operations in the absence of the director.

Education:  Graduate of an Accredited Program in Pharmacy.  Current license to practice Pharmacy in the State of Ohio.

Experience:  3 years previous experience in hospital pharmacy is preferred
