  Complete Description

Performs all tasks and duties associated with the sterilization and delivery of instruments and the disinfection of equipment for use in patient care areas. Supports services in all patient care areas by promoting highest quality processing. Responsible for processing flexible endoscopes in coordination with the Endoscopy department and Operating Room. Delivers case carts and supplies to and from the surgical suites. Makes decisions in collaboration with nursing staff physicians and other members of the Health Care Team. This position has no direct patient care contact. This position has access to confidential patient information.  High School graduate or equivalent required.  Registration and certification three years following provisionary period required.  Previous experience in Central Service/ Sterile Processing Nursing or Surgery is preferred with strong commitment to implementing Infection Control, disinfection and sterilization principles. 

 Additional Information

Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
Rotating Shifts may be required.
